A black free flowing powder,  CARBONAC  S-325  is derived from selected grades of wood sawdust and produced by steam activation. The resulting macropore structure is best suited for removing high molecular weight colorants present in thick sugar solutions. Mainly designed for sugar refining, it has been successfully used in similar applications such as the purification of citric acid, monosodium  glutamate and even glycerine. The exceedingly high adsorption properties and fast filtration rates of CARBONAC S -325 results to economical usage.
