FROCLAR 200 is a blend of high molecular weight anionic polyelectrolytes of varying anionicities. The product is designed for used as coagulant aid in sugar juice and syrup clarification. It also found some application in potable water treatment. The polymers used are approved by the  United States Food and Drug Administration ( USFDA ) and the U. K. Department of Environment  for direct addition to sugar at a dosage not exceeding 10 ppm based on weight of solids.
